Very smart Art Deco walnut bookcase c.1930. In one piece with a glazed bookcase top fitted with three adjustable shelves (internal depth 8¼"). Over a deeper bow fronted cupboard base with a single shelf (depth 15"). Simple uncluttered design free of any carved or applied decoration save for the shaped pediment and the highly figured burr walnut veneers used across the front. Note the symmetrical pattern created by the quarter veneers on the lower doors. Solid walnut sides. Shaped apron around the base and slightly flared legs to the front and sides. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
