Fine quality early 19th.c. Biedermeier mahogany chiffonier side cabinet c.1830. Original well figured grey marble top over a single drawer and a two door cupboard fitted with a single shelf inside (internal depth 13"). A handsome piece of furniture in the Biedermeier style with little applied decoration save for the carved corbels flanking the doors top and bottom and the spectacularly well figured flame mahogany veneers laid in symmetrical pattern across the door and drawer fronts. With large original inlaid brass escutcheons. Veneered on the inside of the doors and on the sides. Solid oak drawer linings, groundwork, shelf and backboards. Excellent condition and original mellow colour. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied for the drawer and doors.
