Item Details

Superb French burr walnut and marble top chest of drawers or commode c.1860. Original grey marble top with a rounded edge over four long drawers plus a fifth drawer hidden in the plinth. Particularly well figured burr walnut veneers arranged in a striking symmetrical pattern across the front. Shallow top drawer with shaped front (continued on the sides of the cabinet), the three deeper drawers below within a moulded surround. All with inlaid brass escutcheons. Well figured walnut veneers to the cabinet sides. Oak drawer linings and back panels. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
