Large late 19th.c. Renaissance revival carved oak bookshelves c.1890. With two drawers over an open bookcase fitted with two adjustable shelves (internal depth 11½"). Carved drawer fronts featuring Green Man mask handles against scrolling acanthus. Carved pilasters flanking the shelves featuring lion masks holding polished brass rings, over scrolling corbels and relief carved flowers and fruit. Carved and moulded edge to the top and plinth and unusual carved panels to the sides. Very good colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
