Item Details

Very smart French Louis XVI style marble top side cabinet c.1930. Highly figured marble top with rounded front corners and a moulded edge. Over a cabinet with two drawers and a two door cupboard with a central divider and a single shelf to the left hand side (internal depth 13½"). Symmetrically arranged mahogany veneers to the exterior with inlaid rosewood crossbanding and boxwood stringing, repeated on the cabinet sides. Large gilded ormolu mounts at the shoulders and decorative escutcheons to the drawers and doors. Raised on turned and tapering legs with brass mounts to the feet front and rear. Oak drawer linings and back panels. Some light scratches to the marble and wear to the polished finish. Otherwise very good condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops, key supplied for both drawers and the cupboard.
