George III mahogany linen press or wardrobe c.1800. In two pieces with a two door cupboard top fitted with three sliding shelves and a drawer, on a low waisted base with two short and one long drawer. Top could be fitted with a hanging rail if preferred (internal depth 23", height above the drawer 36"). Slim moulded cornice over doors with particularly well figured matching solid flame mahogany door panels. Solid mahogany drawer fronts with cockbeaded edges and good quality Georgian pattern brass handles. Moulded trim around the waist and base. Raised on tall bracket feet at the front and sides. Solid mahogany sides, oak drawer linings and back panels. Very good colour and condition with some previous repairs and restorations, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
