Item Details

Very handsome George III mahogany estate bookcase c.1800. Useful small size, just 39" wide. Glazed two door bookcase top fitted inside with two adjustable shelves and a slim drawer. Unusual depth (17" internal), to accommodate large files and registers. Over a separate base with two short and two long drawers, again of unusual proportions, each having an internal height of over 9". Moulded cornice with a dentil frieze, astragal glazing bars, cockbeaded drawer fronts in solid mahogany with the original brass handles. Solid mahogany sides and the original tall bracket feet. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied for the doors and the internal drawer.
