Item Details

Large and impressive Regency era mahogany chest of drawers or mule chest c.1830. Solid mahogany top with a crossbanded edge moulding. Lifting to reveal useful storage behind the upper dummy drawer fronts (internal height 11"). With three large drawers below. Beautifully figured and symmetrically arranged flame mahogany veneers to the dummy front, with within a crossbanded surround and ebonised moulding. Matched veneers to the three lower drawers, all with the original turned mahogany knobs and inlaid bone escutcheons. Solid mahogany sides and raised on the original crisply turned mahogany feet front and rear. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied for the lid of the chest.
