Item Details

Large mid 19th mahogany gentleman's chest of drawers c.1840. Featuring four long drawers of graduated height, the top drawer with a hinged front and fitted inside with four sliding trays ideal for watches, jewellery, ties, handkerchiefs etc. Beautifully figured flame mahogany veneer to the top with a moulded edge. Matched veneers to the drawer fronts with cockbeaded edges and the original turned knobs and brass locks. Solid mahogany sides and raised on a crossbanded plinth. Mahogany linings to the drawers and slides. Some obvious old scratches to the top unfortunately. Otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied for the top drawer.
