Superb quality and large mid 20th.c. bookcase in walnut c.1950. Just over three meters long. Open bookshelf top with 12 shelves (depth 9½") which can be arranged as required across the four sections. Over a deeper cupboard base with four locking doors, each with two adjustable shelves inside (depth 14½"). Beautifully figured walnut veneers used in a quartered symmetrical pattern on the door fronts and as a bookleaf pattern on the back of the open shelves, on the ends of the bookcase and on the inner face of the doors. Uncluttered modern design but featuring a moulded border around the bookshelves, a fielded edge to the doors and standing on five solid brass block feet. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Original keys supplied.
Splits easily into separate top and bottom sections or can be completely disassembled if required.
