Good looking French Louis XV style bureau plat or writing desk c.1900. 51" x 30" top with a brown leather work surface with gold tooling. Set within a fine quality serpentine shaped brass edge moulding with decorative detail at the corners. Over three oak lined drawers. Kingwood veneers inlaid with floral pattern marquetry on the drawer fronts and continued on the desk ends and rear. Shaped apron flowing seamlessly into the legs which feature large brass mounts at the tops and to the feet. Some minor wear to the leather and repairs to the veneers. Very good colour and condition, restored cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.
