Remarkable French wardrobe in birdseye maple with beautiful and original painted decoration c.1890. Single door with the original full length mirror plate with a bevelled edge. Fitted inside with a front to back hanging rail and two adjustable shelves (internal depth 14"), over a single drawer in the base. Topped with an arched pediment and turned finials (can be removed if preferred) above the moulded cornice. Superb and extensive hand painted decoration across the exterior of the wardrobe featuring naturalistic scenes of birds insects and plants. Chamfered edges to the frame. Raised on turned front feet. Oak drawer linings and interior. Couple of small marks to the mirror, otherwise very good colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
Note this wardrobe must be secured to the wall before use.
