Impressive looking Neo Classical style painted wardrobe c.1920. Single door wardrobe featuring a large (31" x 51") dressing mirror with a bevelled edge to the exterior and fitted inside with a hanging rail (internal depth 17"). With a drawer in the base. Broad overhanging cornice topped with two pine cone finials (can easy removed if preferred). Over a Classical style carved frieze of laurel swags and ribbons either side of a central roundel with fluted detail and acanthus carving at the corners. Reeded pilasters flanking the door, carved mouldings to the door and drawer front. The decorative scheme continues on the sides and around the plinth which is raised on low carved pad feet. Original paintwork in cream and green with the details highlighted in gold. Original brass laurel leaf pattern handles. Hardwood drawer linings. Some wear to the paintwork, otherwise very good condition. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
In one piece, the door can be removed for delivery.
Note we recommend this wardrobe should be secured to the wall before use.
