Item Details

Late 19th.c. pair of French Empire style mahogany open armchairs c.1890. Unusual design, the front stiles topped with carved classical heads to support the arms and tapering toward paw feet. Note also the papyrus leaf detail where the arms meet the rear stiles. Padded backrests and large sprung seats upholstered in a well chosen flatweave fabric. Very good condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Clean upholstery.
