Item Details

Charming set of four small Windsor type kitchen chairs in yew wood and elm c.1860. Steamed yew wood hoop backs and slim spindles over seats shaped from single elm boards. Note the scratch carved detail to the edges of the backrests and seats. Raised on splayed yew wood legs with fine turned detail. Joined with H stretchers also in yew and also featuring (quite unusually) turned decoration. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
