Set of six late 19th.c. oak dining chairs c.1880. Solid oak frames with quite an unusual pale finish. High backs with shaped cresting rails very well carved with laurel wreaths, ribbon and acanthus detail. Padded backrest and a carved and moulded lower stretcher. Over large sprung seats with moulded rails raised on turned front legs with original brass castors, joined with H stretchers for strength. Presented as found in good condition, solid and sturdy with clean covers.
