Item Details

Painted terracotta figure group by the celebrated Austrian pottery studio of Goldscheider c.1900. A young couple in traditional Dutch dress embrace and hold hands. Very well modelled in terracotta with the original painted finish. Signed P.Roy in the clay and with the serial number 2806 10 15 stamped on the rear. Unfortunately the Goldscheider badge is missing though it is obvious where it was originally attached. Roy is a name often found on Goldscheider figures and the formatting of the serial number is absolutely typical of their production. Otherwise very good condition.
