Item Details

Painted terracotta figure of a young woman by the celebrated Austrian pottery studio of Goldscheider c.1900. Full length figure in traditional dress and clogs and carrying basket, her right hand shaped to hold a staff or similar. Very well modelled with particularly nice treatment of the face. Original painted finish with metallic gold highlights. Stamped at the rear with the factory mark of Frederich Goldscheider together with the serial numbers 3727/74/11. Excellent original condition.
