Item Details

Very tall late 19th.c. gilt frame mirror or pier glass c.1880. Standing nine feet six inches tall. 38" x 100" mirror plate within a superb giltwood frame with an arched top and carved laurel leaf detail. Gilding appears to be largely original, a little chipped and rubbed through in places to reveal the red ground below. Very good condition, with replacement glass and some earlier restorations.
