Item Details

Generously proportioned George III Welsh oak vernacular armchair c.1800. Slightly sloping backrest with splayed slats between straight rails. Curving arms on chamfered and tapering supports over an unusually broad single piece board seat (height 19"). On tapering square front legs and out-swept rear stiles joined with stretchers to all four sides. Note the pegged joints. Lovely original colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
