Late 18th.c. Welsh oak kitchen cupboard or press c.1790. In two pieces with a two door cupboard top fitted with two shelves inside (depth 18″). On a base with two short and two long drawers of graduated height. Particularly attractive ogee arch top door panels with moulded detail to the surround. Note how the pronounced grain of the timber on the door panels is arranged symmetrically. Simple flared cornice echoed in the canted pilasters flanking the doors. Georgian pattern brass handles with pierced back plates. Oak panelled sides, moulded trim around the base and raised on shaped bracket feet to the front and sides. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Cupboard door key supplied.
