Victorian Prie-dieu chair


Newly upholstered Prie-dieu chair in GP and J Bakers gorgeous "Nympheus" velvet.


Excellent quality, Victorian rosewood Prie dieu chair with attractive turned front legs, and brass cup castors. Outswept back legs, solid construction all in good order.


A Prie dieu chair otherwise known as a Prayer chair originated in 17th Century France and was used for individual prayer. You would kneel on the seat and rest your arms on the top of the seat.
