A large and decorative gilt and painted tole 'leafy Tulip' appliqué, Spanish 1950s - exuberantly designed in naturalistic style with plenty of movement, the 5 tulip stems set amongst multiple serpentine leaves held within a base of oak leaves trimmed with a single acorn.  Hand gilded in variegated shades throughout, the flower heads with subtle iridescent shades of red/russet, the leaves with faint remnants of green.  Well patinated throughout and in good vintage condition with nothing detracting in our opinion.  The tulip flowers designed to hold either candles or bulbs.  Currently unwired but can be wired and PAT tested - please enquire.  Stamped mark verso 'made in Spain'.
