Item Details

A pair of decorative Italian gilt tole double sconces, 1940s, designed as naturalistic stems of intertwined climbing ivy, the bulb holders as open flowers.  Original patina and detailed venation to the leaves.  In great vintage condition commensurate with age - spectacular on the wall!  This design became very popular in the 1940s and was used extensively by legendary American decorator Dorothy Draper.  For candles but can be wired and PAT tested - please enquire.
