An unusual pair of vintage Italian painted tole 'Buttercup & Butterfly' sconces - naturalistically designed as hand tied bouquets of foliage and flowers, each with 'peacock' butterfly detail, the candle holders of scalloped form, hand painted throughout, with integral hooks for ease of hanging.  In very good vintage condition commensurate with age with only minor signs of wear and nothing detracting in our opinion.  Original metal 'made in Italy' tags present.  A scarce and sought after pair of botanical sconces - charming on the wall!  Can be wired and PAT tested or for use with candles.
