A wonderfully authentic mid-20th Century wartime trestle table, retaining all the character and practicality associated with utility furniture of the period. Constructed in solid pine, the table features a plank top with a beautifully weathered surface displaying decades of honest wear, use and patina. The folding trestle supports allow the table to be dismantled easily for transport and storage, reflecting the resourceful design principles common during the war years.


Utility furniture and simple trestle forms were widely used in Britain during and immediately after WWII when practicality and economy of materials were paramount.
