Item Details

Fabulous American Native Chief, hand carved from piece of hard wood. Free standing at 53cm high x 45cm wide. A show stopper with an incredible warmth and presence. A truly fabulous and unique piece. Unsure of the American hardwood it’s made from. It’s heavy. We believe it to be early to mid-century possibly earlier. A small repair and crack does not detract from the beauty.

In the Native American and First Nations communities that traditionally have these items of regalia, they are seen as items of great spiritual and political importance, only to be worn by those who have earned the right and honour through formal recognition by their people.
