Still Life: Coastal, Mixed Medium on Panel by David Pearce (b. 1963). Dated 2013.


 


David Pearce was born in 1963 and has lived in Cornwall since the age of three. A self-taught artist, David is based near Padstow and finds inspiration from the surrounding natural coastline. David paints in a sophisticated primitive style that is both charming and challenging at the same times.


He has had numerous successful exhibitions at such prestigious galleries as Waterhouse and Dodd (Cork Street), Cadogan Contemporary (Chelsea) and for three consecutive years (2015-2017) at the ‘Summer Exhibition’ Royal Academy of Art, Piccadilly, London. He has also exhibited internationally since 1998. He had great success at New York’s hippest Art Fair the “Outsider” represented by Marion Harris Fine Art, Park Avenue, New York and "Accidental Genius" Milwaukee Art Museum.


David Pearce's work is testament to his standing as an increasingly important figure in Contemporary Art.
