Latin name : Syrinx aruanus or in English:  Australian Trumpet or False Trumpet. 
Currently as decoration.
There is a small hole in the back, that was made to allow a cord to go in...and use as a lamp. We could install that for you. 

The shell is not a protected species. No CITES rapport needed for transport. 

This particular shell lived with a Dutch family in Indonesia for the longest time. 
The shell moved with the family back to the Netherlands in the 50's.
