Item Details

Impressive set of four patinated bronze "Versailles" vases / urns. Cast in the design by Claude Ballin in Louis XIV style. 20th century. Claude Ballin, goldsmith to Louis XIV, was commissioned to design the ensemble for the gardens at Versailles where they still stand. Cast with Janus heads and boar masks with Greek key and oak leaf decoration. Small hole on the side of one of the urns. Any wear is commensurate with age.
