A particularly attractive 19th Century stool with beautiful remnants of historic paint on the legs and great patination on the surface of the seat. The legs are splayed slightly irregularly which gives it a lot of charm and the seat is almost square. Stools like this served multiple purposes as candle stands, work stools and for seating and were important pieces of household furniture. This one has something a bit special about it.
