Item Details

A late Victorian mahogany side table in the Aesthetic Movement taste, the rectangular solid mahogany top with a simple squared-edge profile is set over a deep frieze with applied panel mouldings to all four elevations, all raised on slender square-tapered legs united by a shaped lower undertier and terminating in flared feet.


With subtle Anglo-Japanese influences of the Aesthetic Movement, finished identically on all sides and with a nice shallow depth, it works equally well set flush against a wall or floating beside a sofa or between a pair of fireside chairs.


Very good antique condition, displaying a deep original polish with minor surface wear consistent with age. Structurally sound, sturdy and ready for immediate placement in the home.
