Large antique French gilt mirror.


It dates from around 1800 and has its original mercury glass. Mercury glass was not made after 1840 and gives a sparkle and reflection like no other.


It has its incredible real gilt (gold leaf) on gesso frame with a huge amount of lovely ornate detail.


This mirror would be beautiful as an overmantel, freestanding or on a large wall.


The gilt and glass are superb. It is in immaculate condition and has all its backboards.
