A beautiful 19th-century French giltwood mirror in the Louis XVI style. Richly carved with floral garlands and acanthus details, the frame is crowned with a classical urn crest, flanked by scrolling foliage and trailing roses. The original gilded surface has aged gracefully, with a warm patina and subtle wear that enhances its antique charm. The original glass plate shows soft foxing and a faint ripple effect, lending a wonderfully authentic character to the reflection. Circa 1880.
