Item Details

A captivating Antique Italian Rococo mirror, richly carved and gilded. The frame is elaborately adorned with scrolling foliate motifs and centered by a charming cherub figure seated among blooming flowers and foliage, all rendered in high relief. The warm gold leaf finish has developed an elegant aged patina, and the original mirror plate features light foxing that adds character without diminishing reflectivity. Circa 1780 - 1830.
