Antique Senneh rugs from north west Persia are prized for their exceptional quality, delicate designs and distinctive weaving technique. They represent an era unmatched quality and craftsmanship, much coveted in the market today.


This early Senneh carpet, rare in this large format, has a remarkably fine weave which lends a crisp clarity to its drawing. The light bronze-yellow field provides a complementary background for the simple monochrome pattern, with each motif creatively repeated in variety of colours, and framed by a wide ivory border.


In good practical condition with some age-related restoration, finished to a high standard.
