A remarkable mid 18th century Baroque period secretaire hand crafted in solid oak. The top cabinet features; neoclassical Corinthian fluted corner columns with decoratively carved flower & leaf capitals, and decorative inset panelled doors with a magnificent original shaped iron lock. The bottom bureau has the same fluted corner column details and the shaped panelled desk lid conceals a contrasting, lighter coloured interior with banks of cascading drawers, cubby holes and concealed drawers behind a lockable central door. Danish circa 1760.
