Circa 1920s. Unusual stylish circular Indian occasional table, the top with multiple inlays in burr walnut and ivory, unusually the central oval panel depicting giraffes, the frieze with string inlay resting on four carved legs in the form of elephant heads with extended wooden trunks with stylish multiple foliate inlays on the facing and sides, resting on a simple foot. The underside of the table stamped ‘made in India’ and a maker’s label, stating ‘keep in a cool and dry place’
