Circa 1860. An early Victorian carved and gilded over mantle mirror, the rectangular shaped mirror with domed top with applied carved and gilded section including a wonderful canopy centered by a flower-head with a carved foliate canopy section with curvaceous scrolling to the sides, the base with two small extensions with applied gilded foliate carving, the frame retains its original water gilding and mercury mirror plate with foxing towards the top and speckled throughout.
