Item Description
Circa 1870. Magnificent burr walnut and burr elm inlaid Victorian Credenza with ormolu (gilded bronze) mounts. The shaped top with panels of burr walnut interspersed with tulip wood, ebony and boxwood inlay above a frieze with extensive intricate marquetry decoration. The two glazed doors with extensive ormolu decoration flanked by neo classical pilasters with ormolu capitals. The sides with open mirrored shelves on a breakfront base with further ormolu mounts and inlay. Beautiful colour and patina and in excellent condition.
