Circa 1890. Two similar Meiji period Japanese Imari platters, one with a wavy edge and ribbing to the body, painted with the classic Imari colours of cobalt blue and red with small patterns throughout, the other with simple rim with painted panels including birds, flowers, and trees in mellow colours.
