Circa 1880. A very unusual and stylish Royal Doulton oil lamp, recently converted to electricity, with multiple materials including pottery, mahogany, bronze and brass, the top surmounted by a conical upright fitted with a brass light fitting, with the Doulton body beneath, resting on a classic bronzed brass turned and fluted column with foliate capital and base, resting on a flared painted and gilded pottery stem, supported on an embossed and gilded brass base which gives the lamp great style and stability.
