Item Details

A late 17th century elm coffer of wonderfully narrow proportions, raised upon two carved gothic arches. The lid opens to reveal original handmade iron hinges and candle box.

There are some marks to the top and evidence of historic woodworm (which has been treated in abundance of caution). There is a small historic loss to the left corner moulding, which appears to be subsequent to the historic woodworm. The area is stable and all other areas remain firm and sturdy.

Fantastic colour throughout and very good proportions.
