A charming painting of chickens in a farmyard by circle of Edgar Hunt (1875-1953).

A central rooster stands amongst six hens in a farm under cloudy blue skies with a landscape stretching off into the distance. The painting is very well executed with excellent use of both colour and light. The work is housed in a gilt wood frame. Both the work and frame are in very good condition.

PROVENANCE: 18th century manor house, Co. Carlow, Ireland.
