Item Details

A charming early 19th century oil on tin depicting a boy holding a small yellow bird. American School.


The work has a few light scratches but generally displays extremely well and definitely draws the eye in a room. The work is housed in a later 19th century gilt frame which has signs of wear.


Label verso with provenance of purchase in 1960 from 'David David', Pine Street, Philadelphia. David David Gallery is a fine art gallery based in Philadelphia, established 1910 and still in existence today.
