Item Description
A rare Chinese hand painted pottery cocoon jar, Han dynasty (202 BC- 220 AD), originally used to store wine, hand painted with abstract swirling clouds meant to represent the heavens.
Surface wear as expected, chips to the rim of the mouth, foot broken and at some point re-glued, possible firing crack along the base of the neck.
