Original 1940s Modernist Oil on canvas by Swedish Artist Alvar Jonson (1914-1985) The painting depicts a town with colourful buildings and boats flanking a river. with a bridge in the foreground. The detail of the large advertisement painted on one of the buildings is a playful detail. The painting is in very good condition with no damage. It is well presented in a painted wooden frame which has mild age-related wear, ready to hang. Signed and dated 47 to the lower left corner of the canvas Oil on Canvas Dimensions including frame 48cm wide x 42.5cm height Dimensions excluding frame 37cm wide x 32cm height The painting will be carefully packed with environmentally friendly packaging.
