This is a lovely, decorative oval wall mirror with an ornate, classical-style frame. It was made in England in the mid 19th century.
The frame is finished in a warm gold tone and features intricate decorative detailing, including repeating leaf-like patterns and beaded accents. At the very top, there’s a small carved embellishment to finish the frame.
The original mercury glass is slightly foxed, as you would expect from a mirror of this age. The glass truly sparkles.
A beautiful British antique.
