https://www.decorativecollective.com/dealers/james-worrallA great pair of decorative, shell encrusted table lamps with a highly distinctive and artistic base design, made by Anthony Redmile in the 1970s.
The bases are rectangular and densely covered in several types of natural sea shells, giving a rich, textural and organic appearance. The shells are arranged in a compact, structured pattern, primarily in earthy beige and brown tones, enhancing the naturalistic aesthetic.
At the centre of each base is a metallic Neptune head medallion—a bold, classical motif that adds a dramatic and regal element. The Greek God's heads contrast against the shell backdrop and are surrounded by rock crystals.
The designer and artist Anthony Redmile is known for his shell and faux-taxidermy creations in the 1970s.
These lamps make strong statement pieces, ideal for interiors that embrace eclectic, Hollywood Regency, or bold coastal design.
The lights are pictured with bespoke, hand made lamp shades which we sell separately. Please get in touch if you'd like to order a set - we can supply any design and fabric.
