A matching pair of antique 19th century French salon armchairs, made in the Rococo Revival style. With curved, carved wooden frames, the painted wood has ornate detail at the crest rail, apron, and legs.


All four legs are cabriole style and the front legs curve outward in a classic Rococo silhouette.


The arm supports have an elegant S-curve scroll, with carved detailing.


We have had the chairs reupholstered in a neutral Mark Alexander linen with a piped trim. This adds definition between the upholstery and the painted wood frame. The seats and backs are well-padded - these chairs are made for comfort as well as style.


Overall a very elegant pair of French antique chairs.
